Ditto for Ashland & Columbia River. My only addtion would be The Dalles and Celilo Falls along the Columbia river gorge.
Have you ever been over to the Nor Cal coast, along hwy 1? There is a state wilderness area, Sinkyone. The roads to get there can be pretty rough, but well worth it. Only spot I know to see miles and miles of coastline with no development. (AKA the Lost Coast) I was there in '94 and it was amazing.
