I have to ask, what has happened to Doug's Whitney Portal message board, has everyone started posting over here? I didn't use it much but I did post something a few weeks ago and had no replies. I guess I am getting excited for the new season and keeping checking the board for anything interesting and nothing is happening? It's to bad, I followed that board for a long time, I was like the 4th person to ever register on that site.

The Whitney Portal Store Message Board is up and running as always. It is winter; things are slow, and if the topic/query is not universally appealing, it sometimes gets overlooked. No great migration - some people post here, there, everywhere....or hardly anywhere. No need for a post mortem.
The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

Both boards are really nice and most of us go from board to board. In my opinion, this board is a bit more open to novices. I think you have to remember that the WPSMB has had members that have posted for years and years, with many knowing everyone really well and not concerned about attacking and offending. Doug does a GREAT job at keeping an eye out for negative posts and handles them very fast and professionally.
*As a note, someday we'll all think we know what we're talking about, scream and yell at each other and bite each others heads off. Steve will have to stay up 24 hours a day keeping an eye on his minions and sending us PM's. Until then, enjoy :-)

I am glad to hear the other board is still alive, I did notice the same people posting on both boards. I was thinking somehow that this board took over. I met Doug a few years ago and remember him talking to my wife and I like he had known us for years. Hopefully I will get a permit this year, planning on taking my 16 year old son this time.
