STUNNING!!! I have to do the JMT before I die. I'm trying to find a favorite picture but having a hard time. Those storm pictures look great and the Lyell River looks so serene. I'm surprised by the amount of snow still up in Yosemite considering what I saw in early August at Whitney. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, beautiful pictures! Thanks for posting them. Congratulations on doing the whole trip in one pass. It took me many years.

You had a lot of snow in the Muir Pass area. (and where is the requisite picture of the Muir Pass hut? wink )

The composition on these pictures is excellent -- you could have used a pinhole camera and they still would be beautiful.

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

JUST WOW!!! All the adjectives - stunning, etc. -- are well deserved! The lighting, composition, etc. in all your pics are incredible! I've seen a lot of JMT pics -- yours are right there at the top of the pile. Glad the Lion fire south of Whitney didn't impair your view toward that end of the trip.

Congrats on your hike!

The northern part of the Sierra typically gets more precip (in whatever form) than the southern part, which would probably explain the additional snow in the northern part of the JMT.
