Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Book Signing on Mt. Baldy

Please join Larry and me on the summit of Mt. Baldy Saturday, September 24th from 9:15 to 10 AM. If you have my book and would like me to sign it, what better place!

That's awesome, I'll try to be there. Which trail are you heading up Cindy?

I'll be doing Whitney a few days earlier, but if my legs still work.....I'd love to be there. Who's bringing the table and chairs :-)....and the Champagne?

I think if you KNOW you are going, then respond under this thread, so we can meet everyone.

We will be going up Manaker's and down the Backbone: Our normal summer route.

As for table and chairs - hummmmmmmmmmm - nope not me. I will be carrying some extra books in case someone wants to purchase one on the summit I even got a resale license so it will all be legal

As for the Champagne . . . .

It would be great if a bunch of can meet - bring those cameras!

I don't think the State Board of Equalization will even try to hike that! Besides, what the heck does that title mean. Who's trying to make who "equal"?

Again, I'm going to try to be there as my other plans have vanished. I also wanted to "BUMP" this thread so more people can read it and see if they can fit it in their plans.

Several people have asked that we be on the summit from 9 - 9:30 AM. And I will be carrying a few books for people to purchase on the summit at $25 (which includes sales tax and shipping!) So, the Board of Equalization is welcome to come up and see my resale permit

My second book signing event was a blast!

Missy, the owner of the Mt. Baldy Lodge, carried up 6 books for me to sign!

It was a wonderful day and most of us met for lunch afterwards

I REALLY wanted to go to the Lodge after we summited, but had to get back. Next time :-)

When we were at lunch, Everest summiter, Tim Medvetz came over to visit with us He was on the Discovery show Everest: Beyond the Limit that inspired me to climb Everest.
