I got an email asking about the hike from Horseshoe Meadows to Mt Whitney. I thought I would put the request out for anyone to help with a reply. Thanks.

Here's what I received:

I'm looking forward to my Horseshoe Meadows to Whitney trip in July. I haven't found that much information on the route, so if you have any resources/advice, I would appreciate hearing about it.

As a first response, I'll link to this post, since it discusses the same hike:   Trip planning and weather

Just click into my website. There are at least two trips detailed, Cottonwood and New Army Passes.

Steve, if that person wants more detail have them email me.

Same hike I did for the Cottonwood Lakes to Mt. Whitney video. (Someone can cover more ground in a short timeframe--given they're not doing what I was doing) Camping locations are posted in the description:

Night 1:
Cottonwood Lakes(4 & 5)
Alt.: 11,000 ft.

Night 2:
Lower Soldier Lake
Alt.: 10,800 ft.

Night 3:
Lower Crabtree Meadow
Alt.: 10,330 ft.

Night 4:
2 hills above Guitar Lake
Alt.: 12,050 ft.

Follow the trails from site-to-site accordingly. My 2 cents.
