Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion From the suggestion box...

I know Steve has been doing a lot of maintenance/switching over of the site lately, and thanks for all the work you put into this.

Just a quick thought: over on summitpost forum, there is a box on each post with the word "thanks". When clicked, it lists your screen name below that particular post, as having "thanked" the person for posting. It has really reduced the secondary "thank you" posts.

Is there a way to do that here?

Not a way to add that feature here ...unless I were a php programmer, which I am not. Looking at the UBB Threads wish list and suggestions, someone requested it way back in 2007. But it was in a list of 100 requested features.

The software is being developed by a single individual, so not improving very much over time.

Well, I tried. This is not the same as a Thanks or Like clickable button (I'd like to see both), but we have this much...

I have added a "smily", so when you click the icon (first one above the posting window), you see a list of choices.  Click this one:   and it will be added to your message.

Alternately, you can type :thanks: or [thanks]
