Hi Everyone!

I have been gone from the board for a while. I have been climbing but it's been up in Alaska with my dog sled team! Love it - crazy hard!

So my question was: For me, which is more difficult, summiting Everest or running the Alaskan Iditarod Dog Sled Race?

If you live near Los Angeles, I will be giving my "From Everest to the Iditarod" presentation at A16 Saturday, May 5th at 5 PM.

Take care and stay safe,
Cindy

Welcome back, Cindy!

That will be a very interesting presentation. Wish I could be there.

I've been to Cindy's presentations and she does an excellent job. The images of Everest are spectacular.

Thanks Quill!

And Steve, I am still planning on making it up your way.

The presentation is much more interesting with the addition of the dog sled racing. Imagine climbing 3000 feet in less than a mile with a 200 pound sled and a dog team. Some sections were at 50-60 degrees and on ice! I was pushing and they were pulling - very difficult sport.

Talk soon.
Cindy

Nothing scheduled yet.

Life is even crazier than it was now that I have added training in Alaska. But as crazy as it is - it just keeps getting more amazing!

Hi Cindy,

Long time no hear from you. It's good to see you back on the WZ.

Hey, if you give your presentation at the Tustin/Irvine REI I would love to come see it.

Again, congratulations, what an exciting endeavor you have had once again.

Cindy,

I didn't know you were on this forum! This forum provided so many answers and help for my dad and I last year on our Whitney quest.

Others: I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy a couple weeks ago and was even fortunate enough to get to help her and her dog team a little at the Iditarod Starts. Tough break but Cindy's courage was awesome and the Iditarod is simply so tough.
