I recently hiked Whitney about 2 weeks ago and am anxious to do it again before I leave. I don't have a reservation or anything, but wouldn't mind tagging along in a group if a spot opens up. I also wouldn't mind showing up sometime midweek to grab a spot from all the no-shows. Either way, if your looking for someone to hike with, I'm down anytime of the week from today till Jul 31st.
