Yes, but computers are really good at synchronization. With a bigger audience.

Y'know, every kid thinks "what would it be like to set off the whole lot of 'em at once?" And there is a kid in everyone who does fireworks. This year, the kids won.

My dad threw a match into the basket of fireworks oh - somewhere in the middle of the last century of the last millennium. Mum never forgave him.

As for me - a favourite book is Farming With Dynamite.

This was my 4th!!! We had a whole evening planned, revolving around watching the biggest fireworks display in the area from the deck of an old sailing ship thats part of the local Maritime Museum. When the initial explosion happened we thought that it a really, really neat way to get everyones attention that the show was about to start.... after a few minutes when they towed the barge away and the harbor patrol and SDPD boats opened the boating lanes to traffic again we knew we were done.

Honestly, though, I think I was more disappointed then my kids! ;-)
