Another Mt. Langley report is not really needed, but I found something on Saturday I have never seen before. I had started up Army Pass with less than a liter of water, and knew I would be thirsty before the day was out. But I was surprised to encounter this, west of the main summit and a couple of hundred feet lower. North of the beaten track.
The water is delicious, obviously stays in a melted state throughout the summer, and there is no source of contamination other than what the wind brings in. Take a handkerchief or something similar to strain out the surface dust before you drink.
