Yesterday four of us climbed the most northerly east chute of Thor and descended the Secret Route. I had done an ice ax and crampon ascent of it about 35 years ago, and thought it was time to repeat it.
It's steep, and the dreadful-at-times snow conditions sapped our energy and slowed us down, so we didn't have time for the summit.
