Half Dome Corridor: Two Rescues, One Day

Bad case of summit fever, poor preparation, and underestimating the difficulty of the hike.

These people have a lot in common with my dog, Scruffie. Scruffie will go until she is tired, hungry & thirsty. At this point in time, she expects me to serve up all her needs and carry her home (which I do).

Scruffie may be smarter than humans, though, because she does not push past an inch of the first sign of discomfort.

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

First thing that came to my mind while reading this was - "is this real ?"

Another was - this is a perfect example of "what not to do while hiking'.

sheesh..what were they thinking?
