Blue Mountain – My Son’s 1st ‘Hike,’ Dec 20 2014

That's how it starts! I read the "TR." How awesome! Hiking with the kids is always a blast. Every step leads to fascination of the wilderness and every accomplishment is just a little bit bigger when they're there. My oldest is 5 1/2 and we've been hiking and camping with her since she was 5 weeks old. She's hoping this summer for a "daddy date" backpacking trip.

Thanks guys! His determination to hike on his own is both and impressive and a little scary. For 2 yrs old, he's a stubborn little guy. There are multiple routes to the top. Some of my buddies will only take that route once before refusing to do it again.
