Another article: Bus service from Fresno to High Sierra begins in summer This has been a long time coming. According to this news report, people will be able to take a bus from Fresno directly to Yosemite. Before this year, the only public transit was out of Merced. They are also opening up service from Fresno to Sequoia, which is also new. 'bout time!

Oakhurst will definitely benefit from this and those who take advantage of this service, too. Just hope some of the riders on the trip back don't mind some smelly hikers!
Journey well...

What? You can now actually get to Yosemite from "Fresno Yosemite International Airport" ? Is this a great country or what?

But just think: I would have never had the opportunity to meet an interesting family. And Wagga would have remained a mystery.

Although Wagga still remains a bit of a mystery . . .

Wagga is not just a mystery, he's an enigma, wrapped in a mystery.
So Steve and Wagga met on a Yosemite bus ride? And what's the rest of the story?

Not quote. Peeling off a layer or two of the onion: Steve met wagga due to a group trip to Havasupai. Then Steve and Wagga met Saltydog in Seki because there was no bus service from Fresno.

We actually met in Fresno, for a ride to SEKI and a couple days hanging out at Dorst, caves, etc.

The phrase "psychopathic internet axe murderers" was used, I believe.

The phrase "psychopathic internet axe murderers" was used, I believe. As noted: a complete mystery.

Humorous, but no. It was a reference to the idea of "meeting" someone via the Internet, and then getting into a car and going camping with them, having never met face-to-face before.
