Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Dayhike with me to the Summit on Thursday 9/24

I don't have a permit and will hope to score an unused permit, which seems likely this time of year. The weather looks good for Thursday, although we must prepare for surprises, and I'll plan to start around 2am. I expect the total time on the trail to be 19-20 hours. Anyone interested?

I'm so glad I came across your message - I actually have an extra permit (my friend had to cancel last minute due to a surfing accident) and I am actually looking for someone else to do the Whitney day hike this Thursday 9/24. Are you still interested? I was about to cancel my plans because I wasn't sure if I could find someone else last minute - please let me know! 2am start time sounds perfect, though I'd be interested in trying to be back before sundown, if possible.
