Snow drifted to full crotch length starting at trail camp (post holes) Once enough peeps kicked in the steps - movement was quick. Recommend some type of boots/traction + poles and hitting the steep parts in the crunchy snow hours. I went down the mountaineers route a bit and spoke to peeps ascending. It's in a precarious situation - Just enough snow to make it difficult on each side; easier with more or less snow. I did the main trail in running shoes and crampons 15 hours car to car.

Ranger said it was "impassible" -- probably 50 people summited over the weekend.

Video shows the return west sided traverse after the crest. I did one crampon one cram-off. One for the slush one for the rocks.
