Hey all you Fresnoans, buy tickets now for Jake Shimabukuro, you will be knocked out of your socks when you hear him play. He is the Jimi Hendrix of Ukulele. I saw him for the first time tonight and I was so amazed at his talent, I cannot put into words how talented this guy is, he does rock n roll on his Uke and lots of other musical styles. You will not be disappointed.

Did anyone on the Whitney Zone see Jake?

Not me. Paul McCartney was here this week. Sold out!

...me? I stayed home. Sheesh, programs alone were $30!

Cairns is home to a large, if not the largest uke festival. Accommodation is cheap because many locals elect to leave town.

For all of you who have been stuck out overnight in an unplanned bivvie, Why is a Viola better than a Ukelele?

Click to reveal..
It will keep you warm longer.

There you go, set for the night - no Ukes for miles & miles.

Wagga, thank you for posting this music, I really enjoyed listening and watching.

Are they performing on a rock formation in Australia?

Is Australia larger than the USA?

STEVE, programs for the Jake concert were FREE and tickets were super reasonable. If he comes to town again do yourself a favor and buy a ticket - I guarantee you will like the show and if you don't I will reimburse you the cost of your ticket.

Thanks, lynn-a-roo!

Wagga, that was fantastic. Love the piano hanging from a helo.

Yes. Almost 3 times the area, including the Australian Antarctic Territory. The mainland is about three thousand square miles smaller than the continental US. So close enough to same size.

Mainland Oz showing UV levels turned up to 11 and beyond. I live on the pointy part of the right-hand coast.

My globe makes the USA appear larger than Australia. Wagga, thank you for the facts.

Wow, once again I got way off track from the subject in the heading...Jake Shimabukuro...May be a sign that I have an issue with focusing...I think there is a name for this issue...oh well
