Wednesday we drove up Horseshoe road and hiked to Owens Point with the any day group. It was incredibly windy at the summit: 50 degrees faced with 40 mph winds. Brrr. The views were outstanding, so of course it was worth the conditions. Unfortunately the register was waterlogged as a result of improper storage over winter. I did not have a notebook in my daypack to replace it; perhaps anyone reading this will please do so if they climb Owens Point this summer. Thanks!
