I live in the central mountains of Idaho and was considering heading to Nevada next week to climb Boundary Peak. Considering the amount of snow on Whitney, I was wondering if I may encounter any on Boundary Peak? Thanks in advance!

Boundary Peak and it's big brother White Mountain are in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada range. They get snow, but maybe about 20% of the Sierra amount. So this time of year, you will only find patches on the north slopes, if any at all.

Currently, there are a few snow patches on Boundary Peak, above 11,500; hard in the mornings and slushy afternoons.
The temps range from mid fifties during the day to low forties at night.

Bring plenty of water; there isn't much in the White Mtns.

Looks like a nice climb for you!

Thank You for your responses Steve and Bob! I think I'll give it a go next Saturday.
