Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion I have available day permits for Tuesday, August 2nd

I have four available permits for Tuesday, August 2nd. Unfortunate changes in my group's plans have led to this circumstance.

My climb will commence at the portal at midnight since this itinerary worked quite well for me last year, with a leisurely and "comfortable" pace.

There are a number of permits which hopefully will translate to an appropriate amount of parking passes.

It would be enjoyable to have some company on the hike but I certainly do not obligate anyone to join me on my schedule.

I will be in Lone Pine on Sunday so please PM me and I will be happy to accommodate any interested participants.

Pistachio, FYI, your reservation for those permits translates to just ONE parking pass. For others to get a parking pass, they need to get a reservation online.

Is that the case if I have purchased three distinct separate groups of reservation permits to accommodate my original number of anticipated hikers?

Are they under different group leader names? If so, they would likely give you a parking pass for each group leader who picks up the permit and passes.

If they are all under the same name, they might not. Just a guess though.
