Hello again, will it be hard to find a parking spot at or near the Meysan Lake parking area in the morning in July?

I hiked to Meysan Lake last year but reading online people said there is a better place to park or something. Is that true? Last time I parked by the Meysan Lake parking sign, walked through the campground, up the road by the cabins, to the trailhead.

I can shorten my question: Is the best place to park for the Meysan Lake trail right near the Meysan Lake trail parking sign? Or is there a closer spot somewhere else on the road?

Thank you

You are correct. The best place, and the nearest parking is where you just described. It is situated above the Portal Family campsites, next to the closed gate that leads down to the campsites.

There is nothing closer. Depending on when you go and arrive, parking can be an issue.

Thanks!! I guess we'll try to get there early. If anything, we can drop the gear off and one person can park far away and walk up to the trailhead. Our target is late July.
