Ice axe and crampons still needed for an AM climb on the couloir. I used crampons and axe on the final 400 although not required. Walk off/traverse is snow covered just before the notch so crampons and axe are recommended. Decent on the couloir in the afternoon is a combination of mushy heel steping and careful glisading.
