After reading the recent posts, it looks like spikes and ice axes are not needed for a 6/16 climb? We're flying in and would like to avoid packing and carrying equipment we don't need on the plane. Any guidance is appreciated.

You won’t need any gear on the main trail. It won’t be long before we can climb the Mountaineers’ Route without gear.
