Great bluebird day. Cleaver Col and north side of Russell-Carillon both snow free. Got some beautiful photos. Here's a few:

BFR great pics!

My brother and I are planning to spend the last night of a backpacking trip in the Wallace Creek Drainage, possibly as high as Tulainyo before going over Russell-Carillon Col.

These pics are super helpful.

Question for you, did you notice any sandy spots around the lake suitable for camping?

Near the northern end of the lake there are some flattish spots. Also, there may be some good spots between 10 and 12 o'clock on the lake.
