Would anyone like to join me for a winter ascent of some high Sierra peak? I’m thinking of either Langley, Matterhorn, or Tom. I’m open to any option that stays around class 2, or dry class 3 (would like to avoid class 3 this time of year, to be honest. Especially due to ice concerns). Ideally aiming for above 12k ft.

I know Langley via Horseshoe meadows is closed, so Tuttle creek is the only option I’m aware of. Should be a little icy and a little spicy, but I’m hoping we avoid any ice. If anyone is feeling a little masochistic, please let me know or PM me if you’re interested within the next few weeks.

Forecast is showing significant snow dumpage starting Monday night and continuing into the weekend.

As an update, I've scrapped plans for this trip. The dump of >20 in snow is making me nervous towards potential avalanche risks. Also I don't feel like postholing for 5+ mi or feel like carrying snowshoes.
