I have permit for Whitney for next week, but changing plans due to snowpack. Looking for any alternate recommendations. Considered White, but the limited info I’ve found doesn’t appear to have more favorable conditions. Thanks I’m advance.
Hey Klmc! I'm also attempting Whitney next week and wanted to ask why you're changing plans. I've been told by many experienced climbers that although it's tricky anyone can do it just be smart about it. Is there anything I might be missing in that?
Originally was planning on the trail route but after all the research it seems like the mountaineering route is a much better option. I'm still open to both but I'm pretty sure the MR is a no brainer right now. Correct me if I'm wrong? I have experience but it is my firs summit attempt and trip up the mountain so i'm just going off of days and many hours of research
