Wanting to get an idea as to how much snow has melted over the last few days with all the nice weather.

I'm going to be flying into LAX and can't bring all my gear so I'm wanting to make sure the trail is clear enough for light hiking gear.

Any recommendations appreciated..

Do we have pictures? YES we have pictures! wink

Check the "Current Conditions" thread, and scroll down.

And as Burchey did, if you go, please post pictures of your hike (or if you can't post them, email them to me).

You're such an optimist!  smile

Since the switchbacks are north facing, and with the short days, the snow there is going to stay until next June. And you can be sure all the shaded places won't change much in a few days.
