Richard, thanks again for letting me join your group. I learned a lot of strategy tips for approaching this endeavor. I doubt I would have made it to the summit without your timed rest and food stops. I would have tried to grind through it without resting and fueling up which is essential. The altitude took my appetite away to the point where I didn't even want to think about another Luna bar. Also, it was great to be part of a fun and lively group (you know who you are!), which made the trip move along more smoothly. I also agree that having the time to head up to altitude a day or two earlier really helps. We camped at Outpost camp Saturday night and then at Trail Camp the next night which I think helped.
