How about the Mirror Lake TH to Snow Creek? I actually applied for this entry as a last resort JMT alternative, although I didn't need it. It appears to go about as far up the otherwise forbidden Tenaya Canyon as possible, and has access to Watkins, Olmstead Point, some of the more popular areas, views of Half Dome etc. Never heard it mentioned much and only stumbled on it as a JMT entry (20 miles to TM)
