Alex, the video was taken the last weekend in September ... I guess it is close to your timing, too. There may or may not be any ice in the route. John S is right, you can pick your own route. When I climbed it last year, I stayed on the left all the way up.
You haven't acknowledged what I wrote earlier about AMS. You may be ok, but you need to know about it and what it can do to some people. With your fast trip, I'd suggest Diamox as a precaution.
