I've never seen that list. 3.5 hours for Baldy via Bear Canyon is a fast pace. I've never done it that fast! For people training for Skyline (11 miles, 8000+ ft of elevation gain), I've heard people say you should be able to do Bear Canyon in under 4 hours. On my last trip up Skyline, we had 7 people. 5 had hiked Mt. Whitney. Everyone in the group, except for me, said that Skyline by itself is harder than Mt. Whitney. One guy said he’d rather hike Whitney twice than hike Skyline once.
