Now, what could nuclear weapons have to do with vomiting a half eaten chimichanga onto a Slavic Ringo Starr?

Awww -- I love happy ending animal stories!

Both of my dogs were rescued; Nakita the husky was found tied to a tree frown...but she lived 14 more very happy (spoiled) years.

Scruffie, the Jack Russel was found in a dark outside holding cell, awaiting euthanasia the next morning. I came home that night and found a puppy in my bathroom! We have been together for 18yrs now (which is why I do not go away for extended over-nighters anymore -- it's too stressful on her.)

Love my puppy smile

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

Joe-t-H: Thanks! It appears Kurt Lawson has been busy again.

He's the one who made the nightime photo of the 97 switchbacks three years ago. See this thread

So this summer, he had to outdo the last job. We are the benefactors!

Here's the text posted along with the video:

WATCH IN 1080P FOR MAXIMUM DETAIL.

Five friends headed to Mt. Whitney, the tallest peak in the continental U.S.. After being delayed by a July snowstorm, on the final possible night of our window, we went ahead with the night photography shoot. Two climbed the 13,800-ft-tall Mt. Irvine and spent the night on the summit. Two set up cameras above the Whitney base camp. The fifth carried seven headlamps to the summit of Whitney and back, throwing a somewhat absurd amount of light into the darkness.

Print and timelapse footage are available for sale. Contact sean@sgphotos.com for details.

Gear: 3x Canon 6D, 2x Canon 5D Mk. 3, Canon 5D Mk. 2, Nikon D800E, Nikon D5300. Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, 2x Nikon 14-24 f/2.8, Rokinon 24mm f/1.4, Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art, Canon 24-70 f/2.8L II, and a boatload of timer remotes.

Not sure if this is already somewhere else on this site - 3.3 million viewers, somebody on this site must have seen it (it is an ad currently running on youtube)

"Through Soldiers to Summits, Wells Fargo supports our veterans by sponsoring their journey to Mount Whitney. Little by little, we can do a lot. Because Small is Huge."
