I had surgery for an epigastric hernia a couple of inches above my innie. Post op wasn't too bad so I slacked off on the pain med after a day or so and just relaxed on the extended lounge chair. Then I got hit with a sudden and unexpected cough. Stay on the pain meds and stay ahead of the pain.
