Really??? Can anyone be this stupid... Defacing National Parks, and then she proves her stupidity by publishing it! I hope they ban her from any parks in the future.

If you read just the headlines, you might get the impression that there is a serious debate going on about whether this is art or vandalism. Its a false dichotomy, set up mostly by those who are writing the headlines, not the authors of the actual stories. Any particular piece of work can of course be both art and vandalism. Most grafitti are acts of vandalism, and many are very good art as well. Sometimes vandalism itself can rise to the level of art; see The Monkey Wrench Gang and the destruction of the Berlin Wall.
But this crap Nocket has done? It would be vandalism if it were hanging in the Tate, MOMA or the library on Jr. High School Art Nite. It is pointless, rife with cultural appropriation, and embarrassingly unskilled. Nocket shouldn't worry about being a bad person. She should turn herself in and pray for about 10 years of community service: then she would at least have a day job.
