The story I read said that the perp visited the police station the next day, not to turn himself in but to complain that someone was posting fake video on him. He eventually pled guilty, and got 6 months license suspension, 2 years probation and $17,000 in restitution, for something like "creating a dangerous situation". In this country, it would have been 4 or 5 counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, etc etc etc.
